How can I see your products in action?
Contact us to arrange for an online demonstration of the Asset Allocation Suite or Equity Optimizer. If you are or will be near Boston, you are welcome to make an appointment to visit us in person to talk more about our products. In certain cases, we will make arrangements to visit your site and demonstrate our products there.
What kind of start up support is provided along with your products?
We typically provide our clients with one of two main tiers of support, depending on the product in question and the form it was provided in. In general, all our APIs come with the necessary support and customization required to integrate the New Frontier API successfully into your existing software. Our online products cannot be customized, but include the support necessary to get users started using them.
New Frontier recommends one to two days of investment consulting for new clients in order to ensure that the software is used to full advantage.
How much do your products cost?
Pricing depends on selected options, as well as on the individual needs of each client. Please call or e-mail us for more specific pricing information.
What kinds of investors are your products good for?
New Frontier applications are designed for the institutional and professional investor and those firms that serve and advise investors of all kinds. Our clients include institutional investors; pension consultants serving the tactical asset allocation needs of the largest pension plans in the world; technology vendors providing advanced equity optimization to large institutional investors; registered investment advisors serving the institutional marketplace; financial planners serving the high-net-worth investor; and broker-dealers serving retail clients.
I am a financial planner; which of your products are best for me?
As a financial planner, you may be particularly interested in our Asset Allocation Suite, composed of the Estimator, Optimizer, and LifeCycle. These products implement our patented and proprietary applications for asset allocation and financial planning. LifeCycle, our financial planning application, produces analytical solutions to explain the probability of achieving specific financial goals. Because of the speed and intuitive character of LifeCycle, this application is especially helpful in one-on-one client presentations.
What is the New Frontier Application Program Interface (API)?
All of New Frontier's advanced technologies are available in an API framework, from the patented Optimizer--our core investment technology--to LifeCycle, a financial planning calculator. Our APIs are initially constructed in a rapid prototype environment and are then compiled into shared objects (.so) for UNIX or dynamic linked libraries (.dll) for Windows applications. Our APIs have also been written to COM+ technology for Windows NT server applications.
Our core computational engine will work in a variety of application environments, including the Windows DNA 2000 platform. NFA has developed interfaces for our applications to Microsoft Excel, standard C and C++ protocols, COM + objects working in a client/server environment. The core computational models and objects--the APIs themselves--are designed to integrate with existing systems through the use of XML-based messages (n.b.: XML interface is still in development).
The ideal server-based environment for our APIs includes a compute farm of servers communicating via message queues with either a Web farm (for user-initiated requests) or a high-volume database (for automated requests). Scaling a Web-based service using New Frontier's technology can be achieved through scaling up (bigger multiprocessor servers) or scaling out (more numerous servers). Such decisions can be made separately for compute services and for data/user interface services, according to a company's particular needs.
How can New Frontier's technology be integrated into my company's system?
New Frontier will provide further layering of our applications for deployment into customized applications as needed, working with our staff of programmers, with third-party integrators, or with our buyer’s internal IT staff. Furthermore, we are working actively with some of the most sophisticated third-party systems integrators and product specialists in the field in order to develop new applications that can be as customized or generalized as our clients require. Our blueprints for integration can also be used by a client's internal staff or preferred vendors.
